  • Permanent Contract Working Hours: Day Duty 9 day fortnight*
  • Scale: Station Manager Salary: £ pa
  • Location: Kelvedon Park (*should the successful candidate be a flexi officer, these terms and conditions can be maintained in this role)
The Role

Essex County Fire and Rescue Service has a challenging opportunity for a Station Manager within our Emergency Planning department to assist in the day-to-day management and activity while supporting the Group Manager to input into the strategic direction of the function, working with a range of internal and external stakeholders, while working to improve the Service’s emergency planning activities.

  • Current substantive Station Managers
  • Substantive Watch Managers in the Station Manager Talent Pool (or who are due to undertake Talent Pool assessment centres throughout January – progression to the Role Specific assessment will be dependent on passing the Talent Pool stage of the process)
  • with 12 months service in their current substantive role whereby the applicant is competent in their current role, has no current live disciplinary warnings, and is not subject to being managed for reasons of conduct, performance or attendance.
