NFCC International Lead

We have an opportunity for someone to take on the role of NFCC International lead. The International Lead works with Fire & Rescue sector professionals to develop and maintain relationships with international organisations relating to the fire and rescue service and supports the promotion of the UK fire sector to other countries.

On the worldwide stage, this role aims to support and compliment the work of the Joint International Fire Board developing international trade to export expertise and products from across the UK fire and rescue private and public sector. Building stronger international relationships with CTIF*, Institute Fire Engineers, National Fire Protection Association, Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authorities Council, Federation of European Union Fire Officers Association (FEU) will ensure best practice learning and research from across the world is shared and helps shape our professional  standards and practices here in the UK.

Due to the diverse work across Fire & Rescue Sectors, there are also opportunities to provide supporting roles in areas such as Equality Diversity & Inclusion, Prevention and Innovation.

CFO Mark Hewitt has done a great job leading the NFCC's international work. Mark is due to retire from Cornwall FRS so we are seeking expressions of interest to be the next NFCC lead in this area of work.

It is evident that the importance of international influences on fire and rescue services is clear. The advert for this role sets out the extent of the role and will allow the succesful candidate an opportunity to build on Mark's excellent work.
