Outline invitation to tender

Outline invitation to tender

This outline invitation to tender (ITT) provides an indication of the structure and content to be covered, including sample contract terms. It should be cross-referenced with your organisation’s existing terms to ensure that all matters are covered and there are no conflicts between the documents.

This form of ITT would be appropriate for use in a two-stage procedure (restricted, competitive dialogue, mini-competition under a framework agreement). It assumes that suppliers have already been selected based on their financial and economic standing and technical capacity, using a pre-qualification questionnaire or other selection process. For this reason it does not include any requirements linked to previous experience, workshop locations, number of employees etc – as these would all have been evaluated at selection stage.

For further information on the different stages of the procurement process and what can/should be asked for, please refer to the ‘Procurement and Disposal of Assets’ section which forms part of this Manual.
