Workplace

A benefit for every public UK Fire and Rescue Service being a Professional Partner means all FRS employees have access to our online forums, which bring networks of peers together virtually.

Our 'Communities' platform has come to the end of it's life. Therefore we have undertaken a project to replace the platform with a new system called Workplace. This is more user-friendly and documents will be easier to share and locate. It is also easy to access on mobile devices and tablets, as there is an easy-to-use App available, as well as being available from your desktop.

On 20 July 2018 all communities became read only. If you are a member of a community which transfered to Workplace, you will have received an email inviting you to the new group. If a community has not moved to Workplace, it will still be available to view as read only until 14 September 2018. Documents from the communities will also be available until this date.

Please read NFCC's term and conditions.

How do I join one?

In order to join a group you must be an employee of a public UK FRS. Depending on your job role or area of work in your service, there could be one or more groups that would be helpful for you to join. In order to access the system please visit https://work.facebook.com/ to register for a Workplace account using your FRS email address.

Once a member of Workplace, you can request access to other groups by viewing the list of available groups and selecting that option. To locate all groups available, please click on 'Groups' (located underneath 'Explore' on your home screen) and select the 'All Groups' tab. Please note that there might be a small delay in your access request being reviewed by the group administrators. If you require urgent access please contact the NFCC Support Hub

Communication Groups

We also have communication groups that are used by the central team to share briefings on the work being undertaken in that area. If you wish to join one of these groups and you are an employee of a UK FRS, please select the required group in order to access. These communication groups are only for the publication of NFCC comms and peer to peer discussions take place in the practitioner groups.

Why is the group I want access to not listed?

If a group is not listed it is because access is limited to members of the specific group only e.g 'Committee Groups'. Unfortunately unless you are a member of the group, we will not be able to provide access.

How can I set up a new Workplace group?

If you feel that there is a requirement for a new group, please complete a request form and return to the NFCC Support Hub.
